06 · Method

One founder. An agentic engineering team. One standard.

Juan Jaramillo sets direction, writes the specifications and approves every merge, deploy and release. AI coding agents do the engineering work under a written standard. There are no other employees.

Specs before code.

Every product starts from a written specification that agents build against and reviewers check.

Tested, then shipped.

A failing test comes before every fix, layout guards run at several screen widths, and nothing counts as shipped until CI is green on the pushed commit.

A human signs off.

Agents commit on branches; the founder approves merges, deploys and releases, and each one is logged with its commit.

07 · Why now

When agents write the code, the instructions become the product.

In 2025, 84%[W-3] of developers used or planned to use AI tools, and 51%[W-3] of professional developers used them daily.

Agents are earlier: 31%[W-4] of developers used them and 38%[W-4] had no plans to.

As more code is written by models, more of the work moves to what they are told: requirements, specifications, prompts and context. Most DevSpeak Labs products work on that layer.
